Terms and Conditions

Working languages
The standard working languages of A à Z Traductions are English, French, German and Italian. Other languages may be upon demand and are subject to the availability of external translators.
Text formatting
Unless otherwise specified when ordering, texts are delivered in Word format. They may also be delivered in Excel and PowerPoint.
Cost estimates and orders
Orders for translation, proofing or editing services must be submitted by e-mail or by post. A à Z Traductions will then provide a cost estimate. However, A à Z Traductions reserves the right to modify cost estimates for valid reasons, provided that it immediately informs the customer.
Conditions (languages, deadlines, etc.) are only valid after confirmation by A à Z Traductions. If the client does not specify any delivery deadline, the order will be executed chronologically, i.e. in the order in which it was received.
If an original document is modified while the translation is already in progress, changes to the translation will be charged based on the hourly rate for revisions.
If the document includes formulae and tables, the customer must indicate whether or not they are to be reproduced. If so, an additional charge will apply based on translation or hourly rates.
Rates
A à Z Traductions applies a variable billing rate system that takes into account factors such as the difficulty of the text and the language combination. The basic rate will incur a surcharge of 50% for urgent jobs. Jobs with deadlines and volumes requiring evening work (after 18.00) or work during the weekend or on public holidays are considered urgent.
There is a minimum charge of CHF 75.- per job.
Revisions
Document proofing is billed at CHF 75.- per hour or based on a preliminary cost estimate.
Delivery
Documents are delivered by e-mail free of charge or may be sent by post (“A” rate) on request.
Payment
Invoices are payable within 30 days. In case of late payment, A à Z Traductions reserves the right to suspend deliveries in progress.
Order cancellations
Cancellations must be notified in writing and as soon as possible. Work already done, as well as all related costs and expenses, will be charged.
Liability and court of jurisdiction
Despite the strict procedures ensuring the quality of our translations, we cannot be held liable for the consequences of any inaccuracies, omissions or errors. Complaints must be notified in writing within 10 days. This contract is governed by Swiss law.

The courts of Canton Valais have jurisdiction over any dispute arising hereunder.

These conditions apply as of 1st October 2014 and are subject to modification.
